Each year, all of the professionals in the coffee world come together to meet and compete at the Bibby Coffee Conference held in Melbourne, Australia. This year we have refreshed our venue with brand new outdoor dining sets and outdoor lounge setting for our guests. The conference is where the top coffee companies unveil their best new appliances, coffee beans and barista tools that they have been developing over the year. While the conference is informative and fun for all those involved in the coffee world, it is mostly competitive. Every coffee professional there wants to win an award in their category. From top innovator to best beans, the competition is tough! Because of this, it came as quite the surprise when our small, new company won first place at this year’s conference, claiming the innovator of the year award. Who knew our little shop would get such accolades?! Well, we always knew it was great.

For the best outdoor table and outdoor lounge experience this year, we've added so many more new elements of surprises. We have indeed created the perfect outdoor setting for you to enjoy and relax in. So, what exactly helped us win when competing against big espresso machines and coffee bean roasters? Well, several features that we designed into the grinder wowed the judges in Sydney. The first was the compact nature of our grinder. While many grinders have a small compartment for beans and large portion of the machine for the powerful motor, our machine has reversed this. Our strong motor only makes up ¼ of the grinder while the other ¾ of the machine holds the beans. This allows you to grind significantly more while taking up little counter space in your kitchen. Our grinder also features indestructible steel blades which cut through the coffee beans with precision and also have a lifetime warranty. Bibby judges always love to endorse a product that will last forever! Lastly, our grinder in priced so that every coffee lover out there can afford it. The grinder has power at a low price, will last forever and is nice and small- it really is the perfect coffee grinder!

Winners

While we only entered into one competition this year (and we think that winning innovator of the year is pretty great!), there were a few others that stood out to us and inspired us to come back next year to compete again. The best coffee beans that were aged with red wine were quite fascinating as well as the car adapter espresso machine. So, this year, we will take our Bibby award for the best outdoor table Melbourne has to offer and come back next year with even more inventions!
